I only have 4 lugs on my front tire, since i didnt get around to installing that lug on install day... Do u think the techs would still let me run? Or should i make it a point to put that lug on in the very near future?
It's not safe either way. It's $1 for a lug and a 20 minute job so fix that shit.

if u'r missing a lug, they won't let you pass tech... just put it on, if u'r missing a stud or broke a stud, you still won't pass tech.

shouldnt have a problem, my friend got by once with 4 so I dont think they care, but get it fixed anywaythey will not let you run like that anymore at 41. I have said this before, why do people skimp on saftey? if this were a new mod you would be in a sure hurry to get that on.

dont i have to take off the caliper, then the rotator, then what else? does it just get hammered right into place or something?

you need to take the caliper, rotor and caliper mounting bracket off. then you pop out the old stud, put the new one in and pull it through. my personal preferance is to get a regular lug nut and put it on with the cone facing out and tighten it to draw it through. then put the rest of it back together, like show said takes about 20 min.

Well i tried to get it fixed today, but since i didnt have the right tools i was screwed +1. I guess ill do it saturday morning before i head out to the track. I got half way done and down to the last caliper bolt the 18mm ones. And i didnt have a 18mm wrench, but i used an adjustable to get off the top one. So before i can strip the bolt anymore then i had, i stopped.
another ibid?
haha
very funny
by the time I changed my 3rd wheel stud, it only took me 15 minutes (I was under a time crunch to make my next session and borrowed a cordless impact to help though so perhaps it was cheating)
but yeah, front studs are easy to change now that I was forced to do it in a pinch.
...about to change 'em all out tomorrow to race ones so yeah.. I guess I can time it... but I'm taking my time.. gotta trace down a coolant leak as well..
